Units and Spans are powerful features within Orbitas Field that allow for quick and efficient data collection. Units and Assemblies help further define your collected locations based on your configuration.
There are several methods of adding Units and Assemblies to collected locations, based on your configuration.
Orbitas Filed supports basic "copy and paste" functions to cut down on collection time, as well as the use of templates for even more efficiency.
Location Types within Orbitas can be separated into Dynamic and Static.
A Dynamic location type will open up a set of menu driven selections to further define your location after saving.
A Static location type will return you to the main map screen after saving your current location.
Units and Spans are configuration based. If you have a configuration with Units and Spans, you will have a specifically named location type that is considered "dynamic".
This location type will open the Units/Spans form upon saving the current location. One common example of these Location Types is called a PartnerUnit.
This location type when saved will directly open the Add Units/Spans form.
To add units and spans with this method...
Collect a “PartnerUnit” as the location type, or a known Dynamic location type feature within your Orbitas Field configuration.
