Job Menu

Job Screen

This is considered the 1st screen and contains the jobs list and a few other settings.

Job Screen Details

  1. Current Screen 
  2. Create NEW JOB icon
    Opens a sub screen to Name your NEW JOB and click SAVE.
  3. DELETE  icon
    Opens a sub screen for DELETING JOB
  4. JOBS List
    A current list of all Orbitas jobs created on the iOS device.
  5. JOB UPLOAD STATUS icon
    red cloud icon indicates the job has not been uploaded, while a green cloud icon indicates the job has been successfully uploaded. 
  6. PHOTO UPLOAD STATUS icon
    red camera icon indicates the photo(s) within the job have not been uploaded, while a green camera icon indicates thephoto(s) within the job have been successfully uploaded. 
  7. DOWNLOAD ASSIGNED JOB(s) icon
    This icon allows the user to download any  job(s) that have been assigneds to that user.
  8. EDIT JOB NAME icon
    Opens a sub screen to rename the currently selected JOB.
  9. MAIN SETTINGS icon
    Opens the Orbitas Settings screen for more options.

Creating a NEW Job

Clicking the NEW JOB icon will open a sub screen to create a NEW JOB.

  1. Click on the NEW JOB icon
  2. In the Job Name text box enter in your desired Job Name
  3. Click SAVE.

*Avoid using special characters like punctuation, symbols, and accented letters when naming your job.

Downloading ASSIGNED Jobs

Jobs assigned from Orbitas RMS can be downloaded to your iOS device for continued data collection with Orbitas Field.

  1. To download any jobs assigned to you simply access the job menu and click on the DOWNLOAD icon at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Make sure your iOS device is able to connect to the Internet.
  3. Tri-Global recommends using a wi-fi network for the fastest downloads. Network speed, quantity, and size of job(s) will result in varied download speeds.
  4. Select your job as normal to begin mapping.

DELETING Job screen

Clicking on the DELETE  icon will open a sub screen for deleting a selected job. 

  1. Click on the DELETE  icon to have activate the sub menu.
  2. Click on the DELETE JOB icon next to the job you wish to delete. 
  3. Click on the DELETE button that appears to the right of the selected job name. 
  4. Click OK to confirm or CANCEL to cancel. 

WARNING! If you delete a job from the iOS device it can not be retrieved.

EDITING Job screen

Clicking on the EDIT JOB icon will open a sub screen for editing a Job Name.

  1. Click on the EDIT JOB icon to enable the feature

NOTICE the EDIT JOB icon is now outlined in red

  1. Select a job to EDIT to open the Rename job prompt. 
  2. Rename your job and click OK.

Uploading an Orbitas Field Job

With an active internet connection you can easily upload any collected data to Orbitas RMS for further enhancement or production.

  1. To upload the current job simply click on the ACTIONS icon then select the CLOUD icon.
  2. Orbitas will check your credentials and license. If there is an error in your license you receive an error message.
  3. If the job was successfully uploaded you will receive a ,message stating “Job Uploaded”
  4. If you would like to upload another job simply click on the JOB icon, select your job to open and repeat the above process.

All successfully uploaded jobs will have a green cloud and photo icon next to the job name.
